Tips for choosing bathroom tiles

Choosing tiles for your bathroom can be overwhelming with the amount that is available.
Here at Mucklow Hill, we are here to help and can give you tips for when you are choosing your bathroom tiles.

Tips:
#1 Carefully choose your tiles by obtaining advice from the staff! Be sure to get the correct adhesives, profiles, mattings and water proofing systems to ensure that your tiles last a lifetime.
#2 When choosing a tile specifically for an area that gets wet and acquires a lot of condensation, it is important to tile onto an already water resistant background. Ideal backings are either sand/cements rendered, a water resistant tile backer board or dense concrete. If you do not have any of these backings, you should bear in mind to make these waterproof.
#3 Trends come and go, lately, large tiles are leading and these can look particularly classical in larger bathrooms or en-suites. Keep in mind that the weight of the tiles may not be suitable for your walls.
#4 Ensure that floor tiles are slip resistant for bare feet in slippery conditions.
#5 Consider implements underfloor heating to add a little bit of luxury at a decent price. This also adds to the thickness fo the tiling that is on the floor.

Why have a steel garden workshop?

Lifelong Steel Sheds provide steel garden workshops, an outbuilding that is becoming a popular choice of workshop.
But why? Firstly, steel workshops present many advantages and, not to mention, are eco-friendly! See the many benefits of a steel garden workshop below.
Quality
Steel is a quality building material; using it to build a workshop is beneficial as it has a high strength to weight ratio that goes beyond any other building material. Steel, like other metals, will rarely crack, expand, shrink, twist or warp which is why it is fabricated to a 'true', square shape and will remain in that shape throughout its lifetime. Thus sparing you the expense of needing many repairs.
Again, steel won't suffer from the growth of mold or mildew, unlike many wooden garden workshops. Also, it is unlikely that a steel workshop will suffer from rodents or termites either.
Safe and secure
Any good workshop should be made of a non-combustible material - something that steel will meet all of the targets of. Steel can withstand harsh environments and climates as it's incredibly durable. Lightning is no issue for the material, also, the steel frames lessen the possibility of secondary fires, explosions or personal injuries as a steel garden workshops generally have several conductive paths to the ground.
Environmentally friendly
This benefit is among the most appealing as steel is 100% recyclable. Did you know that almost two-thirds of steel frames are recycled?
Variety
Another reason of their popularity is the variety of steel buildings that are available. The workshop that you decide to take will all the same suit your needs and save you money in process.
Many steel garden workshops are completely customisable and can be tailored for your needs.

Simple trick can make your gel manicure last longer

You’re finished your gel manicure and you’re feeling pretty good now that you’ve pampered yourself.

Naturally, you’ll want to keep your gel manicure on for as long as possible before going in for a refill. The entire process of paint, cure, repeat, can take a little longer than other manicures, however, gel manicures is the closest resemblance to a natural nail that we can receive, especially a French manicure!

There’s a simple step you can do to make your gel nails last longer than the given time period of approximately 2-3 weeks, and it’s this: leaving your nails under the UV lamp a little longer.
When polish isn’t cured long enough, it hasn’t received enough UV light which leaves the polish weak and not as firm as it should be. Getting the most out of the amount of money you spend on your manicure is spending more time under the UV lamp to ensure that the gel cures and is more durable.
However, there is a downside to over exposure of the UV lamp. The extra time under the lamp may cure the polymers in the polish, but it does pose as a risk for your skin because of the exposure to UV light. There shouldn’t be too much worry over this matter as the area at risk is a small part of your skin and can be prevented through wearing sun screen.
